Name your top-5 hardest punching heavyweights who have proven their power at the top- level. Prospects like Ajagba, Mahmudov, Sirenko, Joyce and Dubois can surely punch hard, but they didn't stop any top-50 guys yet.

Mine top-5 would look this way:

    1. Deontay Wilder
    2. Anthony Joshua
    3. Dillian Whyte
    4. Luis Ortiz
    5. Alexander Povetkin

Honorable mention: David Price (he might actually be the second of third hardets punching HW right now, but since he never KO'ed top-30 opponents it's hard to rank him there).

    1. Wilder
    2. Joshua
    3. Ortiz

    4,5 are debatable.

Most likely names like Breazeale, Miller, Joyce, Povetkin and Whyte.

    Joshua
    Wilder
    Ortiz
    Whyte
    Povetkin

Miller might be up there, but he's hard to rate. His power seems immense in the first three rounds, then it totally drops off and he becomes an arm puncher. Price is also a very heavy puncher, but you couldn't call him anything close to a top fighter anymore.

Currently (in the last 3 or 4 years or so), Anthony Joshua has knocked out more top 10 heavyweight opponents + previously undefeated / previously UN-KO'ed opponents than anybody else.

    Second is probably Dillian Whyte!

So in recent times, Joshua's punching power has been the most proven in the heavyweight division. Followed closely by Dillian Whyte.

As for the rest, they're all pretty evenly matched! I see no conclusive or sufficient reason / evidence to rank the other commonly mentioned contenders over the others.

Wilder only has 1 stoppage win out of 3 top 10 opponents in 40+ bouts. That opponent Wilder did stop (Luis Ortiz), happened to be a 40+ year old heart patient with blood pressure. The other two top 10 opponents who were in their primes and weren't ill, Wilder couldn't KO. DISGUSTING and GROSS KO record for someone who's power is as rated as highly.

Parker's power is on par with Wilder's. There's practically nothing separating them!

Wilder`s punch that decked Fury in the last round was harder than any current heavies punches and Parker punches with nothing like the force Wilder has, he`s not even a big puncher I feel.

All depends on what it is that you're rating. Individual punches I'd rate thusly:

Straight back hand? Wilder all day.

Hook? Whyte's left has been absolutely filthy this year.

    Uppercut? Joshua.

If you're asking who has the most power across the board, I'd say Joshua or Ortiz. Wilder and Whyte are kind of one trick ponies in comparison to those two IMO.

    1. Joshua
    2. Wilder
    3. Joyce
    4. Whyte
    5. Breazeale

This is going off best punch and consistent of power per punch.

The thread says at top level but reality is only Joshua has actually proven legit power at top level with Wilder.

At top level based on being able to knockout or knockdown/ hurt guys ranked higher....list would look.more like this.

    1.Joshua
    2. Wilder
    3. Whyte
    4. Povetkin
    5. Parker / Ortiz ?

Wilder seems like the only real 1 punch man at elite level. Joshua is a 2-3 punch KO guy.

    With that said.

    1. Wilder (by a distance)
    2. Joshua
    3. Joyce
    4. Whyte
    5. Povetkin/Ortiz/Parker/Joyce
