Just seen that the guy has updated that with Shimmell, anyone seen anything of him? His amateur pedigree seems really solid, at least domestically.
Price, Mitchell and Abdusalamov are the ones to look out for, IMO. Bryant Jennings might be decent but I need to see more of him before I make a judgement.
In no particular... Robert Helenius David Price Tyson Fury Magomed Abdusalamov Vyacheslav Glazkov Seth Mitchell a close 6. Some have mentioned Pulev- he is already a top contender and no longer a prospect.
Jennings is for real. He's active,he already beat a former world champ by stoppage,he has good accuracy,Ko'd his last guy in 40 seconds. He's gonna be good.
Lyakovich declined a lot since his fight with Brewster. Soon he's fighting Glazkov and probably will get TKOed too.
Yeah, he might be, but I'm not going to go overboard with the Lyakovich win. Lyak is a decent name to have on your resume, but he's pretty much done at this point at as fighter. I like Jennings attitude in the ring though, and he seems to be taking his training seriously, which is something that isn't exactly a given in today's heavyweight landscape.
Yeah, I'm not really sure why Pulev is being mentioned as a prospect. But then again, I wouldn't really call Helenius a prospect either. I've never actually seen Glazkov fight, but he keeps being brought up so I guess I'll have to remedy that.
Age wise 3 really stand out Tyson Fury 24 years old Denis Boystov 26 years old Dohntay Wilder 27 years old I feel there the best 3 coming up with all still 10 years left in the game.
Age doesn't mean much if you're not putting in the work. Wilder and Boytsov are both horribly untested despite having been in the pro game for a number of years now, and neither man is really learning anything by the poor level of opposition they're facing. Boytsov's not even that active, and seems to lack passion for the sport or his career. Sorry, five years, ten years, it doesn't make a difference if you're not willing to test yourself.
