In defense of Joe Frazier, George Foreman never fought the same fighter that beat Ali in the FOTC. Foreman would have had a much tougher fight with the 1967 - FOTC Joe Frazier. The fighter that showed up in Jamaica was past his prime weight, out-of-shape and perhaps over confident. Even in that condition, he managed to get up 6 times and finish the fight on his feet. Still, take nothing away from what Foreman did, because he kept Frazier on the outside with considerable help from Mercante who let Foreman push, shove and grab Fraziers shoulders illegally.
