The great American myth. How the heck does Wlad justify being #5? :nut

I am positively stunned that Mike Tyson has made so many top 5s. It's unreal...

I think people use head to head reasoning as well, not just resume, as Tyson's resume obviously doesn't warrant top 5, not even close.

Top 10 is very fair, but Top 5 is definitely stretching it. Head-to-head at his best he was a beast and was very dominant against good opposition for the most part, but there's a few I'd pick to beat him, a few more who have a good chance too. His 1st title reign alone propells him into the top 10 in my book at #8.

Good list: except Foreman at #4 puzzles me.

Why not? Name more than 5 fighters whose resume blows Tysons out of the water. He beat more top ten contenders than pretty much any HW champ except Ali, and Louis and was the youngest beltholder.

Dempsey is no where near the best ever. Head to Head or resume wise, many of the same people who prop Dempsey up to be unbeatable discredit Tyson who has a deeper resume and is better in nearly every way.

And Wlad at 5, um maybe he was drinking?

What's even more shocking is how many people have Lewis there - the ONLY ATG HW champ to get stopped twice early by mediocre contenders when he had the title. Lewis is easily the most overrated HW champ today, far more so than Tyson.

Wlad is one of the top five most athletic and probably the most athletic big fighter in the history of heavyweight boxing.

Blah Blah Blah...Lennox owned your boy twice.

Lennox has more quality wins than any heavy since Ali. Just a fact!

Still sore that Holy barely makes the top 10 eh

Tyson is far more over-rated than Lewis but that's beside the point. If you want to talk about 'the only guy' scenarios then lets talk about Holyfields shall we? The only guy to struggle with two challengers that were in their late 30's/early 40's perhaps? The only heavyweight champ to ever get owned by Michael Moorer perhaps? You love to talk about chins so much....how come Holy couldn't crack the glass chin that Moorer displayed, I wonder? Not that good perhaps?

Don't agree with you often but thems facts right there. Lewis OWNED Holyfield twice, and no version of Holyfield would ever beat any version of Lewis. End of discussion.

I never did get the Holyfield hype. He always just seemed like an overrated short guy who got by by just beating his opponents through attrition, rather than sheer dominance.
