Did you watch the video? Rummy means the first decade, not from 2000 to now Pretty solid list though, but I can't have usyk above wlad
It's almost a more interesting question though I guess it depends what metric we're measuring by... Supposed H2H/levels, achievements as a champion (incl. unifications, defences, etc)? You could argue Joshua belongs at 5 instead of Fury in some ways too - in the sense that whilst both have held multiple at once, Joshua not only did the unification himself but also defended them far more than Fury defended any belt... And that it's still not completely clear who would've been the better fighter H2H either - the assumption has been that it's Fury, but I'm not sure he'd have beaten Joshua, it would certainly have been interesting.
Good list, good video. I agree with your take. Maybe I'd replace Valuev with Chagaev. Chagaev beat Valuev and also has a much more distinguished amateur pedigree with two world golds, junior world bronze, asian gold and a Strandzha cup.
And that is the value of Lennox Lewis. For beating someone on everyone's bucket list (Vitali). The same could be said for Wlad (beat Byrd), but Byrd is not on everyone's list. The same could be said for Byrd (beat Vitali), but Byrd is not on everyone's list.
1-Lennox 2-Wlad 3-Vitali 4-Byrd 5-....mate never thought that was so tough to work out. phew...Sultan, SUgar Niki Valuev, Chagaev, Brewster, but at this rate why we not calling in ruiz, Haye toney* or honestly Roy Valuev has the most interesting claim for me. Toney though has maybe the best performances of that era IF we sort of somewhat beleive he was a world champion. asterisk for steroids. of course but with holyfield, shannon, povetkin all doing naughty with the juice it does sort of make me ignore it. a 5'10 middleweight wieghing 219 on roids is a different world than 6'5 250 getting caught...my believe but not gonna start. last place goes to....5-Valuev just because he had at least an impact on the scene. he had the title twice within the 00's he had wins over 3 world champions and was a hard task to be given. very lightly behind is Brewster but that is no fault of his ownm. injuries sadly turned his short top ascent to little more than a what could of been.
Only reason that I did not say Byrd is because his best years were already behind him and his title fights were stinkers. I love the guy, though, and argue that he absolutely was a great fighter.
