Top 5 Japanese MMA fighters ever?

Most would be in the sub 155 weightclasses.

 

I'd add Shinya Aoki to your list. I really wish there was more exposure for eastern fighters. I never know if I'm watching the elite or a fight between nobodies.

 

Sakurai should be on there.

Caol Uno? Genki Sudo?

 

Not Sudo, Uno is a good shout, he always brought it, regardless of weightclass.

 

I just really like Sudo.

I havent seen Aoki fight yet tbh but from what Ive seen, Sakuraba is the best ever, better than Gomi, Yoshida & all the rest.

Id have Sakuraba in my top 5 p4p period, never mind only Japan.

 

For me Sakuraba, Gomi, Aoki and Sakurai would definitely be on the list. Not too sure about the last spot.:think
