    we get a lot of these types of most exciting fights, but the lighter guys don’t get enough hype. What are the must see top 5-10 fights for you at the lower weight limits?

    1993-03-13 : Michael Carbajal 107 lbs beat Humberto Gonzalez 107½ lbs by KO at 2:59 in round 7 of 12

    • Carbajal down in round 2 from a straight left. Carbajal also down in early in round 5 from a flurry of Gonzalez punches .
    • Gonzalez cut over left eye in round 3.
    • With one second remaining in the 7th round and trailing on all scorecards, Carbajal knocks Gonzalez out with a left hook to the chin.
    • Gonzalez staggered by a hard right hand along the ropes late in round 7. Moments later, a left hook puts him down and out for the full count.
    • Fight was named Ring Magazine Fight of the Year.
    • Fight was the first Light Flyweight fight in history to head a Pay Per View card.

    I have been digging into 118 and under the past 4 months. This is one of the few that I watched long before getting into those weights. Great fights

    Great thread idea, as a fan of lighter weight classes, I'm always looking for recommendations like this.

    Those immediately jump out to me.

    Ivan Calderon's fights with Segura and Cazares were excellent from memory.

    I always enjoyed Iron Boy's work.

    I had a soft spot for him being much smaller most the time and having no power. He was superbly skilled.
