This discussion may be a little over my head as already I've seen names of 3 fighters I never even heard of (thanks to the posters for those). Here are a few that I've watched who don't get much discussion anywhere nowdays. Not atg's maybe, but oustanding fighters who were involved in some great fights and seem to have disappeared from the collective memories of boxing fans (although not, I suspect from the posters in this forum):

Or maybe Vuyani Bungu? Another that never gets any play here.

 

i liked Bungu as well.Very neat and tidy pressure stylist.

His prime was short and he had some notably bad performances at the end of his career which has probably counted too harshly against him.

South Africa had a number of tricky 122 fighters that could qualify here.N'Cita, Bungu and Ledwaba who fought like a poor man's Kalule trying to do a Pernell Whitaker homage...skilled and fun to watch though he was no match physically for the weight cutting cheat.

 

Carnera - some people act like if he was a joke or a "fake fighter", and he wasn´t great, but was a very competitive fighter.....

Rodriguez :deal A lock for the top 25 for me, stacked resume, ace fighter all-round, never gets the respect he deserves IMO.

It's hard to understand why, considering the competition he faced, and the success he had. A lot of the fighters he beat are more well known than he is for some reason.
