No one who knows anything about Saunders is hyping Saunders based on his performance against Lemieux, they're basing it on all of his performances, most of which haven't been seen by most of the people who's only knowledge of him is in the Lemieux match, which is debatably not even his best win. Here's the deal, most BJS fanboys knew the sky was the limit with Saunders, if only he could work on his stamina, he looked absolutely amazing against Lee, until around the 8th round, and looked brilliant againstX afczb m zm. Eubank as well, that is.... until once again the 8th round, all he needed to do is push himself to get in amazing shape and he could sustain his brilliance beyond the 8th, well he's finally done what we've all wanted to see him do for years, and finally looked as brilliant and untouchable from 1-12, as he usually does from 1-8, so you could forgive us if we're a little excited.

So surely this logic applies to every fighter?

Maybe the question should be:

Which fighters have the most fans who can't be openly objective about their favourite fighters?

Because you can apply your post to anybody and switch out some details.

2. Crwaford, obvious to me, he fought B+ at best and struggled againsr Gamboa, very good fighter but nowhere near p4p top 5, unified the worst division in boxing...
3. Usyk, I love Usyk but I wasn't impressed with him vs Briedis, seemed one dimensional, working only with his jab, time will tell if it will be a one off, normally I wouldn't put him on the list but the guy is considered invincible by some and by me before the Briefis fight
4. Saunders, one good performance in like 5 years and people are saying he'll beat ggg ans canelo
5. Spence - No good wins except Brook who has glass eyes if not for that Brook would have eventually won, people already calling Spence p4p top 5, pls
