My top 5 is probably something like this 1. Jackson 2. Shavers 3. Saddler 4. Hearns 5. Trinidad The bottom five of my list would probably be rounded out by Foster, Cuevas, Lew Jenkins, Foreman, and Liston. Some guys who haven't been mentioned yet worthy of consideration are Olivares, Moore, Arguello, Saad Muhammad, and Baer.
Cuevas. Little Red Lopez. DEMPSEY, Marciano, Louis. Honorable mention Mugabi before Hagler took his heart. THAT man could crack. Pipino and Danny were the hardest I ever saw though. Saad could also wreck buildings and Frazier beat pure f&(k out of opponents.
Shavers, Jackson, Hearns and Foster are the ones that immediately come to mind due what they could do to opponents with only one punch. Marciano and Hamed are good calls as well. All HWs bigger than Shavers are out if we're talking p4p as their actual weight in the ring, not division. Then there are heavy handed fighters we have little film of, and I'll leave them out for that reason. Of course, Robinson have a good argument from the film we have of him, even if little is from his WW prime.
Joe Louis said SRR was the hardest punching Welterweight he had ever seen until Hearns came along. There's a chance SRR might have held back just a tad post Doyle too.
Foreman. If youd make him smaller i dare bet he still hits harder than anyone. Just like Ali is p4p the fastest ever, i mean if you make him smaller then his speed should rise even furter.
I assume that is criticism? I'm persuaded to pick them because of the p4p prefix, likewise Fitz. Foster is the hardest hitting lightheavy I have ever seen, but Fitz, at a lower weight was koing bigger class men.
What a ****ing nightmare that man must have been at WW. Leonard's chin, speed, skill, smarts and resilience to go with a power close to Hearns's...
Jackson probably takes it for me. To put a durable customer like Drayton to sleep with a single punch that doesn't even land clean... Wtf.
