    #1. Wilfredo Gomez
    #2. Felix Trinidad
    #3. Carlos Ortiz
    #4. Wilfred Benitez
    #5. Esteban DeJesus

Camacho is right off at #6, and if Cotto beats Margarito, He may deserve to be put in the top 5 (depending on how impressive the win is).

Man, just seeing that Tua ko of Ruiz is why I can't give up hope for the Tuaman! I really believe that somehow he can do that again.

Damn, I forgot about Dejesus. Anybody who beat Duran and knocked him down twice was a great fighter.

Dejesus handing Duran the only loss of his career in his first 74 fights and 13 years as a pro, plus the only loss below 147lbs, is a very impressive achievement. DeJesus along with Ken Buchanan are also really the only guys who were really remotely competitive with Duran when they lost, even though he practically dominated those fights as well. Apart from the win over Duran, DeJesus also beat Jr. Welterweight champ Alfonso "Peppermint" Frasier, top lightweight contender Ray Lampkin, and WBC 135lbs titlist Ishimatsu "Guts" Sazuki by a shutout. He beat several other top lightweights of the 70's as well. He is often overlooked.

Those are my favorite 5 Boricua Warriors of all time, however, I would switch Tito to #4, and make Betinez #2...A name I would most likely throw in there also would be El Salsero Escalera, who can forget him....

    Good list though.....
