Eastern European fighters didn't just populate the heavyweight division, they now compete in every division. We only hear about them in the heavyweights because that particular division is shockingly bad at the moment. In every strong division, the best eastern European fighters are unheard of.

Here's a fun fact. There are more Ukranian middleweights competiting in that division than Ukranians in the heavyweight division. There are more Ukranian welterweights than heavyweights. There are more Ukrainian light welterweights than heavyweights. There are as many Ukranian super middleweights as there are heavyweights.

...yet Ukranians only have world champions in the heavyweight division. They do not have a single relevant fighter in a good weight division.

Eastern European fighters aren't any better than Americans. They simply came along during a **** period in heavyweight history. Nothing more, nothing less.
