the problem is, we dont see him overcome adversity because he pretty much has every possible physical advantage over his opponents.

take a fighter like Floyd for example, he has fought bigger, quicker, and heavier punching opponents than him. he dug deep, and found a way to win. u dont see that with the klits. because quite frankly, they dont really have to.

the reason they dont have to is all the work they put into studying the other fighter. Hours and hours of watching tapes of opponents fights. knowing the tendencies of the other guy and the ring/boxing IQ to understand what the other fighter would have to do to beat them and having 3-4 game plans to prevent it...... they spend COUNTLESS hours doing this

I was at the fight and Wlad fought the same the whole fight.
Having game plans and actually executing them are very different. You can't claim he's some genius inside the ring when he's never shown it.

That's my point. I think a big part of ring IQ is implementing your plan and fighting your fight. It's not just about things you do on the fly in the ring, it's about planning and preparation before the fight. It's like QB's who study tape and breakdown footage in preparation for the fight.

Of course there are many deserving fighters. Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard and Benny Leonard are all deserving.

I was typing this same point when you posted this. I compare Wlad and Steward to Brady and Belichick. Unfortunately, many people have deep hatred for Wlad and will never recognize this.
