I think D1ck Tiger would have been a beast at 168 pounds

    3: Steve Collins
    4: Carl Froch
    5: Mikkel Kessler

I don't rate Andre Ward because he always fought with home advantage, he used illegal tactics, and he had dishonest officials (referee in Ward-Kessler and Ward-Kovalev II, judges in Ward-Kovalev I).

Roy Jones wasn't long at the weight division, I rate him in the top five at light heavyweight.

So many post this subject and haven't watched much of the division or know it's history
Based on resume I think the top 3 are quite easy to call...

    1. Calzaghe
    2. Eubank
    3. Ottke

After the top 3 I think it gets harder to call
I think Collins could have a good argument for 4th. He beat undefeated long reigning champion Eubank (arguably the biggest smw win), Eubank again, Benn, Benn again, Sellier as what I would pick as his top 5 wins at the weight

    4. Collins

I think 5 could be even harder to pick. Possibly Kessler at 5 based on resume having beaten WBA champ Siaca, former and future WBA champ Mundine, undefeated WBC champ Froch, undefeated future WBA champ Sartison, 3 time WBC champ Beyer, Magee, Hausler, Lucas, undefeated Andrade

    5. Kessler

5th was tough to call as I could make an argument for several SMWs so went back to resume

Glad it wasn't a top 10, 6-10 would give me alot more to consider where I would have to throw in Benn, Beyer, Jones, Ward, Froch, Park, Toney,

I like Froch but he's not top 5 - Kessler beat him at their peaks.

Roy, Ward and Calzaghe top 3 clearly

There's a dozen or so fighting out the remaining two spots but the margin between top 3 and rest is huge.

Canelo hasn't been considered in my list

    Greb (yes, Harry Greb).
    Calzaghe.
    RJJ.
    Ward.
About 10 boxers tied for 5th.

I don't see Toney in here; he was emaciated at 168. Needed some burgers and BBQ at that weight.
