Foreman over Frazier, and Foreman over Moorer should be in there.

Start by asking who were the best fighters who ever got beaten, and then add context.

Marvin Hart's win over Jack Johnson belongs in the argument, if you can live with the decision.

In any event Bowe's win is better, because a win over Holyfield, is worth more than a win over Bowe.

Is it? No one else ever beat Bowe. 'Course Holyfield had a far better career, so in that light Bowe taking Holyfields "0" is definitely impressive.

That’s because Bowe didn’t fight anyone else of note to be fair

The way I look at it, Bowe is nobody without the Holyfield win, but Holyfield is still great without the Bowe win.

Ergo Bowe's win is more impressive.

A man with a very thin resume.

A lot of modernistas build up fighters with mediocre records, simply because they conform to their idea of what a dangerous heavyweight should look like!

Tua, Bruno, Valuev, the sad saga continues.

Vitally Klitschko is kind of the exception that proves the rule!

Did you watch Ali--Liston? They fought on even terms, then Liston slowed down for a round or two and quit citing his shoulder. It shoudlnt be on the list.

Disagree a bit about the relative ranking, and I'm not sure about Fury's victory, but that's a good list. Plus, the top of Povetkin's head in your avatar imparts the list with an added sense of intellectual rigor.

EDIT: Where would you rank Ali's Foreman fight, and why?

Ali completely dominated that fight. Outside of one round where Ali was blind, Liston could barely touch Ali. All of his punches were missing by a country mile. At the same time, Ali was tagging Liston's face. I believe that Liston's shoulder injury was a result of him throwing out his left shoulder with punches that missed Ali.

Look at the picture of Liston quitting on his stool. His face was battered by Ali. At the same time, Ali said in his post fight interview that he didn't have a scratch on his face which was true.
