Well he's been a Colonel for about 30 years now without ever getting a promotion to General so he can't be much of a bloody soldier.:D

Cosell is the worst by far his level of bias and not having a ****ing clue pisses me off so much. Watch the Benevenuti - Monzon II fight and listen to how clueless he is Monzon is kicking his ass and knocks him down and Cosell is sitting there dribbling "No...no, no,no". Kellerman is another complete knob.

Foreman although a bit silly at times I reckon is an awesome commentator one of the few fighters who is actually good at commentating like Norton and SRL.

Jim Lampley- Routinely miscalls the action with punches that never happened and tries to stir up drama when it's not needed. It's always easy to see who he's rooting for.

Ferdie Pacheco- Will get on a point early in the fight and never drop it. His bias is easy to see and his commentary suffers because of it.

George Foreman- He might have been entertaining, but his points were often off the mark by a good margin. Basically, he had the appearance, but when he actually made more than simple remark it was usually wrong.

Howard Cossell- Was more like a cheerleader once he had his mind made up that he wanted a certain fighter to win. He'd act as if he was smarter than everyone, despite not having any experience in boxing aside from watching it.

Whoever that guy is that redid the commentary on a lot of the older fights. He precalls the action. "Note the snappy 1-2 from so and so and the damage it does"...3 seconds later the said fighter lands a good 1-2. I'd rather not know the punches that occur before they happen.

Did you guys ever see Thunderbox? Don't know his name, but the black guy who kept saying "only here on Thunderbox" was by far worse than anyone I've ever heard.

I didn't let commentators get in the way of my enjoying a fight, but I agree with alot of what was said here. I do have to say that I miss the old Tuesday Night Fights with Sean O'Grady and Al Albert!! They complemented each other nicely, experienced broadcaster and an ex champ with great boxing knowledge who was even tempered and well spoken.
