I agree. What did Dundee tell Leonard in the corner between rounds in the first Duran match?

Duran was one of the greatest fighters I have ever seen as a lt weight. Certainly the best lt weight in my lifetime. As he fought at higher weights he became less effective but his greatness as a fighter allowed him to still be very successful.

Interestingly Ray Arcel who trained Duran for most of his career was asked what he thought of prime Duran as a fighter....he was quick, mean, vicious, knockout power in both hands. He was the closest fighter I had ever seen to Jack Dempsey.

As a lt weight Id never bet against him. Like any aggressive puncher Duran could be outboxed. The only Lt weight I can see doing this is Benny Leonard but thats only from what Ive heard about his talents. Still I dont think anyone would be ready to handle the speed and endurance Duran brought to the table. He just overwhelmed all his opponents with non stop aggression, speed and crushing punching power.
