Yeah, I think it's certainly reasonable. And there are some very serious men in between them.

There is a case for both being lower at this time, but I don't think their placements are unreasonable.

But my criteria was durable RANKED contenders. Donald and Purrity were unranked journeyman. They were not world class fighters. so this does not count for that much. Larry Donald was also around 36 when he fought vitali

But the durable fighter has to be world class for it to have strong meaning

Yes very embarrasing on wlads resume...but Wlad also knocked the **** out of bryd flooring him twice, while vitali couldnt put down bryd and lost to bryd. Wlad has knocked out far more contenders than vitali has

Stopping all but one of your opponents in your wins is certainly impressive. You can downplay the opposition, but tell me, who else in history achieved that, despite facing low ranked opposition?

There were inferior fighters going the distance with Marciano and Foreman, who had been stopped before and after. There's always guys that have some stylistic difficulty making things hard. But not so with Vitali. You have to wonder why. Also notice that he retained his KO% ability against the ranked fighters. Sanders, Johnson, Hide and Williams all were battered.

That said, i would rank Wladimir a few places higher.

Valid point. But Fitz did better against Sharkey and Choynski also. Not counting Johnson, Jeff would have had 3 ko's in 7 fights against common foes. Fitz was 3 of 5 but with reasonable officiating, he probably would have ended up with 5 ko's in 5 fights.

I think Gerrie Coetzee should be on the list somewhere.

I agree with your ranking of Ingo. He was, if nothing else, a great right hand puncher.

Brockton...am glad u got Johansson in the top 15....over at BR the assholes there believe Johansson was so sloppy and nothing more than a right hand that a pro debut Muhammad Ali could have kicked his ass over 4 and 10 rounds.

Am also glad to see my home town's greatest to make the top 50, the world's white heavyweight champion during Jack Johnson's title reign.

Johansson ahead of Wlad, Shavers, Lyle, Vitali? I don't think Johansson kocks out Austin, Brock, Danny Williams or Kirk Johnson like the Klitschkos did
