[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3IQs8iKE3Y[/ame] Special thanks to the guys here who helped me with suggestions for the list. It helped a lot What do you guys think?
I like the video. Some placements seem odd, as if the list is arbitrary. Like Foreman KO over Roman was nice but considering the opposition not special. Tyson KO over Johnson seems an odd one to have considering the other scalps he has on his resume. Same with Frazier over Zylgewics, same with Morrison over Terrell. What's the criteria? A balance between aesthetics and historical significance or just aesthetics? Where you'd get that Frazier fight in such pristine condition btw? I think the top 4 is right, though.
absolutely amazing. If I could suggest one thing it would be more modern fights, with a couple of body shot KO's. example [yt]-CkAZiorNCk[/yt] Also I was a little shocked to see Jackson's KO at 50, Pac over Hatton at 48. but that doesn't take away from the fact that it was a great video
Yea I know nobody will every fully agree with my list, especially on a boxing enthusiast board like this, but I gave it courageous attempt lol. As for the criteria I based it on factors such as opposition, set up, ferocity, likeness of KO when it happened, other factors, but most of all, it was based on THE punch. The punch that did the other fighter in was my primary trait when compiling the list. However in some cases the KO punch wasn't as good as you might think rated but the KO was heavily favored towards the other list-compiling factors. Thanks for the feedback guys
Foremans KO over Roman was up there because of the sheer power in the punch. when your watching the fight, Roman gets knocked down twice, but he keeps getting up and moving around the ring while Forerman chases him down like a mad man, then all of a sudden, "BOOM", perfect uppercut and Roman drops like a sack of potatoes. Its such a beautiful and great knockout. (imo) Tyson over Johnson because it looks like one of the biggest punches I have ever seen with my own two eyes. Tyson put everything behind that punch. It was his single biggest punch, and one of the biggest punches in the history of boxing. The significance of the opponent being a bum doesnt outweigh the greatness of the punch The Frazier KO was beautifully landed. The other guy was taking shots all fight, but similar to the Foreman fight, one huge punch out of nowhere and the guy drops mid-punch, and doesnt move. The punch Morrison hit Terrell with, sent his entire body flying to the ropes. Some boxers have enough power to push their opponent that hard to bully them around, but to punch someone in the head, and send their entire body to the ropes with such apparent speed and power, its unseen before. I seen Louis and other fighter like Lamotta do it, but nothing the way Tommys punch landed. The Frazier KO came from a doc
Good job on the video. I enjoyed it very much. I was surprised not to see Tyson V. Berbrick on there. That knockout sticks with me for some reason.
Top job as usual, maybe the Lewis v Rahman KO shoulda been in the top ten. Other modern ones i might of included would be; Mercer v Morrison, Tyson v Berbick, Lewis v Grant, Jackson v Norris. But top vid pal.
Hope you dont mind mate, i posted the vid in the general forum, i am a subscriber to your channel, and had a feeling who ever made it posted on this site, killer video mate
thanks a lot guys! of course joe, thats fine, and I appreciate it. Yea, trust me guys, when making the list and the video, there were a number of standout KO's that I couldnt use. The one thing to consider when suggesting who you think should have been in, is suggesting who should have been OUT to make room for that knockout. The problem with Tyson v Berbick, is that is wouldnt fit with all these other KO's because the KO punch wasnt big enough. It was a huge punch in term of the average fight, dont get me wrong, but was it bigger than canzoneri or basilios punch? What do you guys think about Uehara's KO at 36? Isnt it just incredible how he uses his body to get him and his opponent in position and then deliver the huge knockout in one seamless move? wow
Loved the video man, not seen a lot of those knockouts before. Why no Jackson - Buster Drayton though? Thats one of the worst knockouts I've seen, the look on Drayton's face gives me chills!
