There are only four spots between them?

Hopkins dispatched more Ring ranked contenders than Steele.

Hopkins beat more Ring top 5 ranked contenders than Steele.

Hopkins held the lineal title in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 to Steele's never.

Hopkins was the best middleweight in the division for nine years, Steele for maybe three.

Hopkins looks the better of the two on film (to me, and it's my list).

But four spots is really very little indeed. Tbf though, I'd consider 9, 10, 11 and 12 pretty interchangeable which is unusual. I think Steele could be ranked 8-12, Hopkins 7-11 so there's a lot of overlapping in their ranges, Hopkins is near the top of his, Steele is near the bottom of his.

But yeah, i'm happy with their respective rankings in accordance with my criteria.

I'll correct it. Bradley doesn't belong at all imo.

Freddie Steele has a good argument to be top 5, and unless my eyes are failing me, he isn't on your list.

No I made a mistake and, unlike many others I am not afraid of admitting it.I corrected it and thought that was the end of the matter. Why would I hate Marcel Thil ? I find him to be a very underated champion.I learned a bit about him from Klompton

He did beat Hagler so he is a great middleweight in my book.
