1. Manny Pacquiao 2. Juan Manuel Marquez 3. Bernard Hopkins 4. Israel Vazquez. 5. Shane Mosley. 6. Just kidding. Anybody else really worried by the increasing size of these P4P lists? Just seen a top 400 in the Classic forum. Laughable stuff.
I agree. I did my own top 100 because my grandad bought me "Henry Cooper's 100 Greatest Boxers" when I was a wee boy and it was always an ambition to write my own century. But even I was shocked at someone writing a top 400. I just think it's pretty weird to be honest. I mean, what is the point??
10 ten is all that's needed to show who's the cream of the crop in peoples opinions. I think there fun but people can easily get carried away into thinking there official.
Fair enough if you want to right a 100, it takes dedication but I suppose it's just about worthwhile. But 400? Come on.
My thoughts exactly. It's pointless. How can you decide between the guy who is 383rd and the guy who is 384th? Arbitrary placings. The guy who made the list must be aching to be noticed and rated. It smacks of desperation to me in all honesty.
:rofl:rofl:rofl I honestly opened up this thread expecting to see 6000 names and I was going to put you straight on my ignore list Tommy Yeah there's really no need for more than ten. You can start bracketing people together after that. As for your top 5, I have Cotto above Mosely and Izzy above B-Hop but other than that the same.
Yeah...there might be a point making a list of the B+ to A level fighters, but that's about it. Once you get down to the C and D level...what the hell is the point, even if you could indeed argue cogently that number 350 is definitely better than number 375.
