Who are the top talents, in your opinion, who have not won a world title as of yet, that are currently still competing. This idea came from a conversation I seen earlier in the week on this board discussing a few names who may or may not be ready for a title shot.

The first 2 that come to mind is Abdullah Mason and Andy Cruz for me. A few months ago I would have had a couple other names but they have won (and got stripped) a title within the calendar year.

Didn't even realise Vergil Ortiz hadn't won a title yet. He's a good fighter.

He's had opportunities, but yea haven't grasp it just yet. Injuries and cancellations have taken his most recent opportunities from him. He was Crawford's mandatory for 2 years, but his camp didn't think he was ready for Crawford, even though he kept stating he was in interviews. Crawford was ringside for the Mo Hooker fight and in the post interview, the announce asked him specifically about fighting Crawford. His energy of him being able to upset Crawford (that he had in an interview the week before) changed to "I just want an opportunity, as Crawford was looking on waiting on his response.

I personally felt that was his chance to push for the fight to happen as he was, again, the mandatory shortly after. The WBO asked his camp about a Crawford matchup that was allegedly turned down which is why they bumped him down to #2 and replaced him with Shawn Porter, whom eventually they mandated to fight Crawford when Porter turned down the original $3M offer.

Moses Itauma is an obvious one. We may know a lot more about him next month when he meets Whyte.

Imam Khataev, who was recently robbed against David Morrell, looks good enough to win a belt.
