I'm asking for those much more knowledgeable than myself (that's most of you guys!) to help me out here. After 1980, and before the rise of R Marquez, can you recommend some top bantamweight fighters and fights for me to check out from this period, please? This is one of my many knowledge gaps, and I hope to get a few beers in at the weekend, and get YouTube on the go. So a lack of spoilers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, always.
Specifically, check out Pintor in his second fight with Albert Davila and Chandler's bout with Gaby Canizales. 2 fights fought over 15 rounds that will amaze you. The breadth of talent those 4 fighters covered is what this subject matter is about.
I'm sorry that I don't know how to quote multiple posts, but thanks, gentlemen. I'll be checking out Pintor and Chandler this weekend
If you get the chance, have a look at the following guys. Plenty on youtube. Happy Lora Jibaro Perez Early Jeff Fenech Orlando Canizales Samart Payakaroon Sung-kil Moon Nana Konadu Veeraphol Sahaprom Greg Richardson Daorung Chuvatana Khaokor Galaxy There are probably more but that bunch will provide quite a variety of styles and good, interesting fights.
