According to the Top 100 Athletes List, Number 1 is Michael Jordan. There are only 4 boxers listed in the top 100 as follows in order of ranking: 3. Muhammed Ali 40. Mike Tyson 56. Rocky Marciano 84. Joe Louis I personally think Joe Louis should be ranked as the highest boxer/athlete as he played in PGA golf tournaments which required great hand/eye co-ordination. He was probably a better golfer than Michael Jordan so I would have Joe Louis close to the top of all around athletes. Any great Boxer athletes missing from the top 100 who excelled in other sports?
They bother to put in those 4 guys, but they don't put in the Sugar man?Why put in boxers and not include the greatest prizefighter in the history of the sport?:huh
Robinson is in at 91. The whole list is ridiculous, very US dominated (quarterbacks in particular). There are some unbelievable ommisions, Steve Redgrave being the most blatant. The inclusion of Beckham, Ronaldo and Messi is shocking when George Best is shoehorned in at 98!atsch
When I think of greatest athletes I think of guys that were great at damn near every sport they touched and played multiple sports at a high level. Jim Thorpe Deon Sanders Bo Jackson Tony Gonzalez Lebron James Rajon Rondo as far as boxers go: RJJ Anthony Mundine (2 sports)
