Pac. (of course) Most of Freddy Roach's other fighters. Tyson Fury. Joe Frazier. Sonny Liston. Maybe Golovkin. (hard to say, since is offense IS his defense.) Froch. (not the WORST, but fairly lacking considering how far he's come.)
Agree with most of these, but Frazier had a nasty bob and weave and didn't get hit clean nearly as often as it may have appeared. He was really good at rolling with punches to take away the impact.
While he's no Floyd Mayweather, Canelo has better defensive skills than being credited for - head rotation, picking up shots, upper body movement, pull-counter even, but he's offensive minded and willing to take one to deliver two. Sure, he can be hit, but so far he had every fight vs. every kind of fighter under control except for Larry Mosley 4 years ago. His problem is a bit slow reflexes and fighting in spurts, but he dares to hit you because he follows up catching you on the backfoot. As a matter of fact, the safest place against Canelo is on the inside where I'm yet to see him presenting high level skills, and that's why I think Floyd can pick him apart there.
Joe Frazier had a good enough defence for a pressure fighter, doesn't belong with the worst. Liston was decent, not the worst but his reflexes were ok.
I love Frazier head bobbing style.George Foreman had pretty poor defence though. Modern day Khan has horrendous defence, didnt see much improvement last time out either.
Froch's defence is alright, tucks his chin right underneath his shoulder. It's when he lunges in that he always gets caught.
He tightened it up after the Eubank defeat IMO. That bobbing and weaving style, ducking low, worked pretty well to be fair.
Was thinking that but he had good quick footwork to get out of trouble and obviously was good at tieing fighters up. It got worse and worse to the point of Pacqiauo who couldnt miss but dont think he had the worst defence.
