    All time, probably Jake Lamotta or Fritzie Zivic. Recently, probably Ricardo Mayorga. If you want to say he was ever a top boxer, Librado Andrade must have the worst defense I've ever seen for a guy who was top 10 rated in his weight class.

    I have no idea how we've gotten 7 pages in and have mentioned Robinson but not LaMotta.

    Yeah, I haven't seen too many guys not even ATTEMPT to move out of the way of hayemakers, he just stood there while Benn was bobbing and weaving. The damage he sustained ultimately ended his career too...

    Doesn't get hit cleanly more than a few times in 7 years of dominance.

    Has one of the worst defenses in boxing.

    I'm a huge *****, but i have to strongly disagree with people mentioning Pacquiaso in this thread.

    Ok, he gets hit with shots but to mention him among the worst defensive fighters out there ie absolutely ridiculous. He uses his feet well to avoid shots (especially in his post 130 career) and circles off at impressive angles. He uses feints really well as both a defensive and offensive tactic and has good upper body movement.

    To mention him as one of the worst defensive fighters out there is absurd imo.

    He does deserve a mention for his lackluster defense. He commits cardinal sins in boxing on the regular, like lunging in out of balance, setting himself up for big shots. He constantly over reaches when he gets impatient and guys are out of range, leaving his chin wide open to hit. He is VERY feint prone, and can be easily baited into throwing punches that leave him wide open to getting countered. These are all BIG factors in why a master counter puncher in JMM was able to give him so much trouble, he exploited his impatience, and extreme technical flaws. Pacman is an instinctual fighter, not a thinking one. He took clean shot after clean shot against Cotto, relying purely on a granite chin.
