What do you think are the top fights which sent a certain fighter really into boxing mainstream?

    Personally Mine are:

    Ali vs Liston
    Hopkins vs Trinidad
    Calzaghe vs Lacy
    Hatton vs Tszyu

I know there is loads more so what are your thoughts?

:think we talking fights that made a fighter known to the public or fights that defined a career?? i don't think they have to be the same thing.

everyone knows who buster douglas is now but before the fight...??

but if you mean fights that sent a fighter into the main that ended up having a great career then you and blade have mentioned some good ones.

I would have to say ALI LISTON is prob the most influencial victory possibly in sports....It put cassius clay in the mainstream and look what he made out of it....if he simply got ko'd by liston then what? next would be malignaggi outclassing diaz dec 12th
