    what boxers were fat at a weight they won / defended world titles at. I dont want joke world champs like John Ruiz.

    I can name:

    Foreman (comeback years)
    Duran (Light and Junior middle)
    Bowe
    De la hoya (at middle, though its very disputable that he won stum fight)
    ALi and Louis came in fat in some defences

    I would hardly describe De La Hoya as "fat" at any time of his career..

    Fat Willie Meehan (obese ex-flyweight), record against the great Heavyweight Jack Dempsey from 1917-1918 is 2 (wins), 1 (loss), 2 (draws).

    his performance against bowe while actually being fat (like fat for tubbs) and drugged out gets him on this thread alone

    yeah, but i wouldn't call him fat. he was just not ripped but hardly chubby, even by boxing standards

    That was quite crazy. Thobela was a lightweight and KO'd a super middleweight champion to win the title. He also went the distance with a young Mikkel Kessler.
