Name some fighters who are clearly elite but lack stamina at elite level championship fights

Ill start of saying kovalev is a clear example he is a top fighter no doubt but never had elite level championship stamina

Stamina is extremely important in boxing without it you are a sitting duck and can be hurt badly, no point in having great power but no stamina sure you can knock many guys out early but when you come against fighters who wont give in and are at elite level they can expose you...........

Billy Joe Saunders. Slick as f*ck but gasses after the 5th without fail. Zab Judah too. First two names to mind.

Degale seems to turn the pace down during the fight which could be due to stamina

Foreman when he was younger was susceptible to gassing, but when he was older he was more paced.

I have a problem with people saying heavyweights gas out.

That's basically unavoidable when we're talking about 230 pound men. You try being 230 pounds of solid muscle and see how quickly that massive frame needs oxygen.

It's not like they can prance around the ring like a 140 pounder.

    Billy Joe Saunders
    James DeGale
    Jean Pascal
George Groves - Although he seems to have improved that aspect as of late

Quite a few heavyweights I would say but that's expected - David Haye, Anthony Joshua etc.. Ian Lewison definitely. The guy is a thunderous puncher for 3 rounds and then gasses completely.

And considering he's now a boxer, Conor McGregor. Although whether he is a 'top' boxer is up for debate.

Past fighters: Judah, Cotto, DLH, Jermain Taylor, Bruno
