Ya, I would have never known about those first two but it was by accident I learned of them. The Golota-Bowe fights, as you say always come across negatively. Though, they are some of the greatest slugfests ever.

This @Italian Stallion. Spectacular list, I missed a lot of these. Great list @Ra's Al-Ghul.

Ya, I have never even heard of a few of these! I have to say I wouldn't put Holyfield-Stewart II though.

It was the first. It went eight, it was back in '89 actually. Stewart cut up but made a fight of it, and it was pretty entertaining. The second went 12, and really only had a couple good exchanges in the first round or two, and then some more in the last few. Mostly pretty awful though. Hell u know a lot of fights I've never even heard of.

Jeremy Williams vs. Egerton Marcus was a helluva fight.

At your leisure man. Crawford Grimsley was the one who had that honor.

Just an amazing decade for fights.

I have to add Holmes/Mercer. Ray nearly knocked him out in the first round, then got soundly schooled.

The 90s are the Heavyweight silver era and the 70s are the Heavyweight golden era.
If Mike Tyson had been free the whole time, the number of top fights in the 90s would probably have increased by a third.
Mike Tyson Vs: Riddick Bowe, George Foreman, David Tua, Ike Ibeabuchi, Rey Mercer...
Then the 90s could be called the golden era of heavyweights.
