I'm sure many caucasian fighters from America probably have some Germanic in them. Based on Surnames from early 20th century heavyweights Mike Schreck, Al Kaufman, Ernie Schaaf, Max Baer ( I read that he was quoted as saying he was Scott Irish on his mom's side and Germanic from Alsace Lorraine on his fathers).
    Greb obviously.
Max rosenbloom while he identified as Jewish he may have had German ancestors.
What about Joe Jennette?? I have read that his mother was of German origin las by way of Canada but someone posted recently that he was Italian. Jeanette sounds French. Any info?

Gene Fullmer also may have descended from German lineage. The Fullmer surname is of German origin. He also jailed from Utah which has a high concentration of German settlers.

I could be wrong, but despite the lineage the original Jewish tribes I think so long as your mother practices the Jewish religion then you are born a Jew no matter what the father or indeed mothers bloodlines.

Many Jewish peoples came through eastern Europe via Germany. I would not like to guese how many Jewish boxers were ethnically Israeli. Although possibly most could be. Who knows?

Among German Christians I would say Max Scmeling, Sven Otke, Axel Shultz, Marcus Beyer, Karl Mildenburger, Walter Neusel, Willie Besmanoff.

There will be a lot more German American boxers but after the World wars many Germans anglisised their names. Braun became Brown etc. I am sure Adolf Waiter and Steve Hamas were proberbly ethnic German.

Aha! That clears things up, years ago I saw a photo of Jennette standing with an elderly white woman, his grandmother. I never could remember what origin she was. For some reason I thought she was Italian but it could have been that she had an Italian sounding first name like Sabina.

Is it me or are the American Irish, German, Italian, and Jewish MUCH better than their European kin?

On that note there are far more African American top level fighters than fighters actually born in Africa.

That might have something to do with poor people eating and living better in the richest country in the world.
