Shigabudin Aliev is one too look out for. An acomplished amateur in his day. Like him a lot. Have fought the best Russian boxers of today and showed great results, so definetely one to look out for. He is set to fight Morgan Dessaux on 9th of December.
The only younger boxer that looks like he might go somewhere is Ajagba, other than that it looks like Fury, Whyte, Joshua, Wilder, Joyce, Jennings and Ortiz will be in the mix for the next 5 years. There's nobody else out there.
5 years? That's a long period of time. Jennings will be out of boxing game, not to mention likes of Ortiz, Fury and Whyte. Wilder might be around.
boxing right now has a small talent pool and because of that older fighters are extending their stay. even wladimir said he might come back once he turns 45 to beat foremans record and i have no doubt that he'd come back and knockout whoever is holding belts at that time.
Talanted amateur Artem Suslenkov is turning pro on 9th Dcember alongsidee another heavy Ilya Klasnikov. Both have signed agreements with Patriot Boxing Team. Shigabudin Aliev will fight on the same card. He had blistering amateur career and now is 4/0 as a pro. He will face durable Morgan Dusseux next.
He'd better be a light out puncher, because he's about 6 feet tall according to the bio at WSB. What amateur events did he medal in? I never heard of him. 4-0 as a pro
Aliev had an extensive amatuer career. He is semi finalist of 2012 Russian U-22 National Championships, semi finalist of 2012 World University Championships, finalist of Beogradski Pobednik tournament, winner of Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov Memorial in 2017, winner of 2015 Umakhanov Memorial and winner of Umakhanov Memorial in 2016.
Surely Klasnikov is too small to be a heavyweight? Hes only like 5ft 10? Interesting that Suslenkov has chose to go to the pros at a young age. Russia have lots of good heavyweight prospects - Kuzmin, Makhmudov, Tischenko, Gassiev, Romanov, Plechko, Afonin, Aliev, Gimbatov, Suslenkov, Davtaev. In the amateurs only Majidov, Babanin, Omarov, Veryasov, Dronov remain
I agree with you about Yoka -he's a total fraud. But I think you definitely overrate Evgeny Romanov. I like him but I thonk making the top 10 is his ceiling. But hes too small - I saw him get overpowered briefly by a big Georgian heavyweight, and he lacks head movement.
Bepo Filipi has gone pro as well. He go UD victory over Predrag Jovetic. Bepo Filipi had god amateur career, so definetely one to look out for. Here is his WSB record:https://www.worldseriesboxing.com/boxers/josip-bepo-filipi/.
Klasnikov did well against tall russian guys in the amateurs, I think he can do the same in pro ranks. He had good amateur career as well.
He has all the tools to go far. We will see if you are right. Per instance I think Joyce is overrated. In my view he is better than Joyce, who most likely will loose to big punching heavyweight when he steps up.
