Don't you know you are allowed double standards when your favourite fighter is included?

Lennox Lewis was never outpointed by a chinny light heavyweight either. But that's OK for Holy.
Lewis, even when old, was never KO'd by a fat middleweight, but again, that's OK.

Lewis never went 10 years without winning by KO, and then ending the streak against the talented Jeremy Bates, but again, that's fine. Because he lost to Ham'n'eggers. (The definition of which I believe is 2 time WBC Heavyweight champion, or 1 time champ, top level fighter never KD who was still a mandatory challenger into his 40's).

Lewis never rubbed ointment into his opponents eyes, quit on his stool against a guy barely into his 20's, nor took a dive/KO'd by that same youngster in 1.

But again, doesn't matter. Lewis beat Holyfield, so therefore he's ****.

    See how that works?

Holy lost to the guy (2-1, and the 1 was due to Bowe being fat and fan man) who dumped his belt rather than fight Lewis, and fought chumps instead. So again, that makes Holy great and Lewis ****.

Wlad is willing to face any opposition (except Vitali). He can't be held liable for who is out there.

And who are these great fighters that Lennox beat, Holyfield, Briggs and Rahman? Maybe Michael Grant?

I think their opposition has been pretty equal.

Yey he can:yepEspecially since he was kod by Purrity,Brewster,Sanders and escaped from a couple knockdowns against Peter,I cant get that out of mind, until he faces top notch opposition.
Too me Vitali should be rated higher. Hes never been kod, only a Tko and that was on cuts in a hotly contested fight with Lewis.
I almost forgot about Chris Byrd but in my opinion Wlad has shown to be more vulnerable.

What I am saying is, he can only fight who is out there, and he is fighting everyone worth a damn now...or at least trying to.

Hell, he was even going to fight the undeserving Haye just to prove a point.

Of the two brothers I think of them like this... Vitali is definiately bigger, stronger and has a better chin. Wlad has a more natural style, better technique and is more athletic.

If they were to square off, I think Vitali would KO him or Wlad would win on points if he could stick and move for 12 rounds.

I know Wlad would fight anybody but I think Lennox Lewis is clearly the greater fighter. Not even a question to me.

Why do you think so? Obviously lots of folks think he is an ATG. I'm curious as to why.

Other HW Champs (including Wlad) have defended the belt more, have better records and fought equal or better opposition.

What is it about Lennox that makes him stand out historically against someone like Foreman or Wlad?

Not a horrible list. The correct names just maybe a few too high and too low. I might get Patterson out of there and put Liston in. I would sub Wlad with Lewis but then after Wlad retires and he has no disasters he may surpass Lennox

Wlad doesn't have more title defences than Lewis, don't count the WBO which was definitely a second tier belt when Wlad had it the first time around.

Wlad has more losses than Lewis. Against poorer opposition too.

Wlad's competition pales against that of Lewis.

Wlad has never been undisputed champion.

Wlad has a bit of a disadvantage now, in that most of his opponents aren't near his level. Not his fault, but honestly, the standard (with the exception of the 2 brothers) is decidedly average at the moment. You only have to watch replays of fights from 15 years ago to see the decrease in abilities of top level fighters.

Foreman? Tougher to argue. I'd rate them both (Lewis and Foreman) about the same to be honest. Both have massive strengths, could beat any fighter ever born on a given night, but have some flaws.

They must have forgotten all about the A Force.

How they can forget him, I'll never understand.
