My top over rated fight is

    Leonard / Duran 2

I realize a lot was made of the " No Mas" . But clearly Duran was not at his best that night. So, although Leonard won, it is hard to see it for more than just a fluke victory.

    My Second is

    Max Baer Vs Joe Louis.

Baer had a busted right hand, that shattered in the 2nd round just as Max was on the Attack, after that he was finished. Joe Pummeled him out to his credit, but he really vaulted in peoples standings after it looked like he dismantled Max. The Truth was that Max could not use his Right hand anymore so of course he lost.

You’re right. He had Louis right where he wanted him when you woke up.

    Without a doubt Hagler-Hearns.
If - if - Hearns really broke his right hand that early on, it pretty much calls the whole result into question for me. I'd very much want to see a rematch.

Hagler vs Hearns, a great fight for about 2 minutes , 30 seconds. Only real drama after that was would Hagler be stopped on cuts, by the 3rd rd, fights over by ko.

One I find it boring, 2 I think both of their skill levels were diminished but moreso Frazier! I find it one of those fights that people make more of based upon the quality names involved rather than the in ring quality. Both guys were gutsy, but I find it boring even by HW standards to watch.

They were both slower and less mobile. Your right. It's been overexposed to a degree.

Excellent Choice, Just as you said if Hearns broke his hand then the fight became a forgone conclusion.

More Duran apologist-speak. Nonsense. Duran "wasn't at his best" so it's excused in its entirety and swept under the rug.

The reality s that Duran had to conjure up an effort never seen before from him and would never be seen again in order to beat Leonard (barely) the first time. To beat Duran in the rematch, Leonard merely had to be Leonard.
