Isn't John Hopoate the guy who likes poking players up the arse?

Kell Brook has to be one of the leading Brit prospects, having come of age in his last fight.

No more Sports Network record padding for this kid hopefully :good

    Lee could make it.

Hyland has a bit to go (looks alright at the moment).

Henry Coyle ain't going nowhere. He's just begging to be knocked out with that defence; in fact the only guy he's faced with a winning record did knock him out, and in the 1st round. To me he just looks like a crude journeyman slugger.

Ireland: Darren Sutherland who is about to make his pro debut looks our best prospect at the moment. The Irish hype train for other fighters crashed in 2008. Hopefully Sutherland won't follow that trend.

I don't fancy degale as a pro but we'll see.

    Gavin should be good.

Kevin Mitchell is going to get stuck around European level I think.

John Murray slightly better but never going to be truly world class.

    Dunno about Jamie Cox.

Obviously Kell Brook is on everyones radar now...he looks rather good.

I'm also gonna canvass some votes for my cousin who makes his pro debut on 5 December 'Michael Stanton'. He'll be on the David Barnes undercard in Dagenham (Friday Fight Night on Sky - but doubt our Mick's fight will get shown).

Seen him a couple of times; he does look quite good.

To be honest though there is no one the Irish scene that I'm particularly excited about, no one who has me thinking "****ing hell! This guy looks like a young Erik Morales!"

Maybe my standards are too high; all I'm actually looking for are guys that have the potential to eventually hold their own at world level, and I just don't see any.

Is Kickett still a prospect after getting KTFOed the other day? Has he shown a weak chin before, or was that just a case of getting caught early?

NY area (rather than doing the whole US, where there are just too many) - Daniel Jacobs, Joe Greene, Peter Quillin. They all seem to be in the middleweight range. Tor Hamer has promise out of the big guys, but he's just starting up and he probably has too many limitations to make it to the top.
