    You can tell ESPN gives almost no shits about boxing, if they did they would not allow Shakur to be on a televised card until he's got a huge match or proves himself not boring on undercards. Its ridiculous

    Man... the key people at ESPN, probably several full ship-of-Theseus generations of them now, have always held the sport of boxing in utter contempt. Sure, they've consistently shown it - but treat it with respect? Never.

    During the whole run of FNF it was relegated to ESPN2, never the primary channel - and even there it would be preempted and on a not uncommon basis start upwards of 20-30 minutes late because of things like...Croatian women's volleyball...the Little League World Series...snooker...darts...bullriding...

    As soon as the UFC became popular they hopped on the bandwagon and started covering it on SportsCenter every week, making it feel more important than anything outside the USA's conventional "Big Four" team sports (MLB/NFL/NBA/NHL). It got its own tab on their website. Boxing? Filed away under "Other".

    Then outlasting HBO and Showtime when both premium cable giants had full staffs of people involved with those productions who really cared and whose passion shines through (even if their executive overlords ultimately didn't) is a tragedy. DAZN sucks but at least they seem to believe that boxing is worth investing a modicum of effort into, whether or not it yields immediate profit.

    ESPN is a big circle jerk of dumb normie jocks (and jock-wannabe nerd ass dweeb - applying to both its onscreen talents and fans), always has been. It has never deserved boxing.

    No problem supporting your countryman but when you turn a blind eye to blatant corruption like robberies from crook judges, crook referees, weight draining, rehydration clauses, failed drug tests, PED masking, cherry picking, enormous weight cuts you have no credibility. The majority of the time it is US fighters that are the beneficiaries of this type of BS. When bad judging happens in Australia I call it out even if the fighter I am supporting is the beneficiary. You just sit back like an arrogant jerk and say stuff like no excuses.

    Haney was bragging before the fight he was going to **** delos Santos up ROFL In actuality Haney was scared of him. He ran like a coward. De los Santos tried to make him fight but Haney was too much of a coward.
    That's two in a row you lost Haney both Loma & De los Santos really beat you butt. Haney is all mouth & nothing else

    Agree 100 % I dont care if a fighter is from Kenya. Kentucky or Kazakhistan. or what color his skin is. my criteria is Can he fight, Does he fight clean, Does he not expect every advantage over every opponent & every judge to be his cheerleader. A clean fight, honest officiating &NO PEDs !! May the best man win That's my motto
