This thread is full of partisan trash who just do not want Loma's only pro loss avenged. They want to hold that B.S. screw job loss over his head so they can feel better about how they view the sport that is it in a nutshell.

They waste their time trying to convince everyone it is about Salido's business interests like school girls arguing over popularity.

He got three times as much on a Floyd undercard than he did to face Vargas on an HBO main event. I don't think he rejects 720 if he doesn't get offered something close to that figure to face Davis.

The last time Salido suffered a bad loss (Garcia), he continued to secure dates on HBO and Showtime. I don't think he loses a date with Loma just because he might suffer a loss- even a bad one. Loma wants to avenge the loss, and will implore his management to make the fight happen regardless of what occurs in a Davis fight.

He's got the date against Loma anyway...why not try to see if he can grind down a less experienced opponent, bag a title and make it a unification?

Two paydays are better than one, and you don't need to go to business school to figure that out.

You are speculating about his future and his past is not an indication of future relevance. You have no idea how the Davis fight will go or if it will even happen. I can engage in speculation as well; What if Salido took the 720K and actually defeated Loma again then that would guarantee him at least two more pay days right? So now we are up to 3 paydays and I will be amazed if he gets more than 720K working for Floyd.

I expected fan girls like Kush, MVC and Isal to count the money of their objects of affection but I was suprised to see a decent poster like you do this.

The only way this isn't a blatant duck is if Salido is getting paid more to fight Davis.

Oh, I think you know very well like to see Loma-Salido II, Kevin. We may not agree on everything, but you know that I think quite highly of Loma and would like to see him get the chance to avenge the only blemish on his professional ledger.

I think it eventually happens because Loma wants to see it a whole hell of a lot more than either us...combined. Maybe that's why the fact that this fight isn't happening now doesn't rankle me quite as much as it does for posters like yourself.

But, Salido is rejecting a figure like 720, I think it's because he feels like he can cash out for the same amount or better down the road. It's speculation, but I think a wily old pro like Siri is trying to squeeze out a payday or two before he goes into the breach and has to deal with the maelstrom that Loma has become at present. I think he knows that there might not be too many paydays for him after than experience, so he wants to get them while he can.

And, while I'd like to see the rematch now...I can get why, as a prizefighter, he'd feel that way.

    LOL

His upcoming opponent is better than 99% of Wilder's opposition.

Lomo has done more in under 10 fights than bum squad has in nearly 40.

Didn't Loma make more than 720k in his last fight? If loma wants to redeem his only loss so badly, shouldn't he give Salido the bigger purse?

    Why would he do that?

Since their first fight Lomachenko has gone on to be a 2 weight world champion destroying Martinez who Salido struggled with.

Salido is getting offered his best ever purse, coming off the back of some unimpressive results. There should be no reason not to accept, Lomachenko is the star.

Its not that simple. I think we can agree that boxing purses are weird, and in someways are just like the stock market. Of course Salido deserves more than he got last time. Since then he's won 2 of the last 5, over nobodies, but also got robbed a couple of times. Loma is 7-0. Look if Orlando has multiple options he can play the auction game, see what he gets, but I hope it wont end like it did for The Axeman, he refused a bigger offer the first time, only to fight for like half the money a year later. Boxing is a b××××. If the Mexican wont fight Davis, I really dont see who can pay him good money other than Top Rank. And Bob is a veteran at this game. Be sure his next offer will be lower if Salido is out of options.

He can't get Davis to fight him so what's he supposed to do? The guys only recently moved into 130 and he may have to move up again cuz these joke champions won't face him.

I bet the Lomachenko hater worships Wilder and thinks Wilder it the greatest heavyweight champion in boxing history, yes, Wilder fights only winos from the alley, but that is OK with the damned Eastern European haters.................go tell Wilder to fight a real fighter..............

    135. Vasquez/Beltran winner & then Flanagan/Verdejo winner are IMO the next Loma opponents. Good but I'd prefer better...

Still taken in it's entirety his resume at that point would be beyond excellent for 13 fights over 3 weights.
