TOP RANK HAS ISSUED COTTO AN ULTIMATUM, EITHER FIGHT JENNINGS OR YOU WONT FIGHT FOR A WHILE... OR POSSIBLY UNTIL THE MARGARITO REMATCH.

MIGUEL COTTO HAS BEEN WAITING TO SEE IF ARUM CAN SET HIM UP WITH A BIGGER NAME BUT ARUM IS NOT BUDGING FROM WANTING COTTO TO FACE THIS JENNINGS DUDE.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF FIGHTS OUT THERE; COTTO HAS IN MORE THAN ONE OCCASION INDICATED HE WOULD FIGHT PAUL WILLIAMS, BERTO EXT... AND ARUM STILL WANTS TO FORCE THIS CRAPPY FIGHT DOWN COTTO'S ALLEY AND US THE BOXING FANS.

Arum wants Cotto to win a belt, so he can do a better marketing with Cotto-Margarito II.

Cotto would need a easier fight after Margarito

Jennings is a good fighter. He's worked very hard and deserves a shot at a house-hold name. How else do people break through the barriers of the big-boys club? Give Jennings a chance, let him lose, then tell his grandchildren one day he fought the mighty Cotto.

You never know, he might make a fight of it and if you've seen Jennings before, you'd know he's no puff-pastry.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Cotto. He believes in himself and wants to prove his worth against the best. Unfortunately, his promoter is only interested in lining his own pockets. The Jennings fight is a **** fight and Cotto knows it.

Cotto got some ****ing heart...I think that it killing him that he kinda gave up in the Margo fight and he is dying to make amends...Jennings is a gimme fight and Cotto knows it...BUT there is a reason to have promoters and managers....If not Cotto would be looking to fight Clottey or Berto and neither one of those guys is a fight that he wants to take right after the beating that he took.

    Cheers Scouse.

C'mon guys, give Jennings a chance. Where's the dream for the rest of the other fighters if nobody gets a chance?

Jennings is a nobody and has fought nobody and still manged to lose to one of those nobodies. Jennings hasn't fought a top 30 welterweight but he deserves a shot at a top 4 Welterweight???

Cotto will obliterate Jennings inside of 6 rounds. Jennings isn’t world class so I don’t see how he can cope with one of the better fighters of our generation. Cotto will need to rebound after Margarito and Jennings is probably the best option as it will earn Cotto a belt and make the Margarito rematch, should it happen, more marketable. He could tell Top Rank to have sex and travel but he is probably better off taking this gimmie and then laying down his own rules for bigger match ups.

Perhaps Cotto should fight Said Ouali or Rafal Jackiewicz instead. We'd all wait up till 4am for that.
