Top Rank launches Pinoy Power boxing series (just like the Latin Fury series)

    From news about fights:

"Top Rank’s new series - Pinoy Power - will be announced and outlined at a press conference at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, on Wednesday. “Our Latin Fury series is very hot and successful,” said Bob Arum of Top Rank. “Now we are launching Pinoy Power which we believe will be just as exciting.” Nonito Donaire of General Santos, Philippines, will be at the press conference to talk about his fight with Rafael Concepcion of Panama City at the Hard Rock on Saturday, August 15. Concepcion is on a flight from Panama and will be at the press conference with his manager Damon de Berry of New York City. Donaire and Concepcion are fighting for the WBA Interim Super Flyweight (115-pounds) Championship. Also attending will be world featherweight champion Steven Luevano of LaPuente, Calif. Cameron Dunkin, manager of Luevano, and trainer Robert Garcia will be the champ. Luevano is defending against a Manny Pacquiao-managed fighter, Bernabe Concepcion of Rizal, Philippines. Michael Koncz of Team Pacquiao is accompanying Concepcion to the press conference. Pinoy Power on August 15 will be available on Pay Per View at a suggested retail of $34.95."

It's Pinoy Nonito Donaire vs. Panamanian Rafael "El Torito" Concepcion for interim WBA super flyweight title...

Pinoy Bernabe Concepcion vs. American Steven Luevano for WBO featherweight title...

Pinoy Mark Jason Melligen vs. Mexican Michael Rosales in a light welter match...

Plus heavyweight Odlanier Solis and lightweight Anthony Peterson on the undercard...

    Pretty solid fight card...

Nonito Donaire moving up in weight (actually going back to his old weight class) to 115 lbs. and fighting against Rafael "El Torito" Concepcion, the boxer who gave Jorge Arce a very tough fight and defeated young Pinoy prospect AJ Banal...

they were talking about Calderon having his rematch on this card and that would make it a great card.

Bob is full of **** and while Pinoy Power is marketed as a series like Latin Fury, we all know Latin Fury lives of the Chavez name and Pinoy Power needs deep cards like this to be relevant.
