If they can't get the Jap deal done either - which sounds like a possibility - the excuse will want to be fu-cken good, because the next opponent won't be!

I understand what you are saying BUT,as the purse winners Top Rank will hold all rights to this event, including TV.
Top Rank knows what it's doing.

Fatcity...... you are 100% right but the majority of people on this forum do not know that. The people who won the purse bid knew it but without the aussie ppv it is not that big a fight. American tv will only accept it on an undercard. It wont be a headliner. So the promoters have offered to bring the fight here. The only problem is Anthony Mundine would have got over 1 million to fight Rob Medley so does he accept less to fight this guy? Only his manager can answer that.

Mundine won't be fighting Golovkin, that's pretty clear from all the evidence presented. Mundine not even bidding was proof enough the fight won't happen.

I don't even know why we are talking about this when we have three fighters with more heart than mundine will ever have fighting for titles and title shots, instead of avoiding them.

Big ups to KATSIDIS, MEEHAN and DAWSON!

:thumbsup all underdogs too.I think Mundine is past his best.i havent analyzed Golovkins opponents and know little other than what i have read about him but according to Ajay who has his opponents have been ****.so why not fight him and pick up the WBA MW strap?
hes 15 KO'S from 18 fights but Green had KO'd all but 4 opponents before Mundine fought him and 1 was a DQ which would of ended in a stoppage.Mundine and Greens opponents will all be **** until they rematch.hope im wrong.

The golovkin fight is only good for mundine in the sense that it's a title shot. It would be a good fight but there seems to be a large number of "golovkin experts" coming out of the woodwork when really in the grand scheme of things he is not a name and certainly not a draw. I'm disappointed the fight doesn't seem to be going ahead but the chance to become "the pioneer" is still there at 154 and potentially the biggest fights can be made there after he gets the belt.

How could you possibly know Mundine got over a million for that fight?
What was the total and what was Khoder's skim.
I would be astonished if "The Pioneer" earnt more than $500K for that fight...it was a nothing fight with not much more than a voyuers interest from boxing fans.
What Khoder negociates and what "The Pioneer" gets from a fight are 2 different things.
It becomes more apparent with every inner circle nuthugger post that selfish individual financial interests are more important than the Goose which is laying the Golden Eggs.

"The Pioneer" should **** Khoder off, sign on with Toprank and take the $600K with a contract for follow up fights in Aus ( Making money for Toprank & himsel) and perhaps the US.
That would be a daring career move worth considering......pitty the hangers on won't let him make his own decisions.
Maybe he is just to plain stupid to make his own decisions??
