On the scene. Arce vacated his 122 lb title and is dropping down to 118 to fight for his 5th weight division title. Top Rank is asking WBO to approve Donaire - Vasquez for the vacant title. WHOO!

    Vasquez or Vasquez Jr?

Donaire v Vazquez would be horrible.

I was hoping hard for a great match-up in Nishioka/Donaire. But this is fine.

Nishioka said he won't be fighting until May so hopefully we'll see them going at it by then.

I'd rather see Donaire vs Rigondeux. I don't think Vazquez is a difficult fight for Donaire nor would anyone pay to see it.

They will **** Vazquez career big time I don't see why they rush him so much. Another KO loss and he'll have hard time to rebound

Umm, Vasquez is Puerto Rican and Donaire is Filipino, proven drawing markets.

Damn I didn't expect this one. Arce looked very strong at 122! Why is he going down in weight?? WVII should not fight Donaire at this stage of his career IMO

More people would pay to see this fight than Donaire-Rigondeaux.....No one would pay to see that fight, not even the Cubans.

Vasquez gets knocked out, gets a couple wins against tune ups and now he gets a title shot against a top P4P fighter without having beaten an elite fighter? SMH. The only Donaire fights I wanna see at 122 are Donaire vs Nishioka or Donaire vs the Rigo/Ramos winner.

It's not that crazy, imo. It was his title and the guy that took it vacated, so why shouldn't he be close in line?

    Rigondeaux is sooo overrated.
