He's either lying, or playing negotiating hardball in order to try and twist a compromise out of Mayweather. Hell, come to think of it, it's probably both.

The statement is not convincing at best.
Manny should sort out this "controversy".

The whole point is for the test to be random. Dictating when and how many times a guy gets tested allows for the cycling of PEDs. You can easily make a schedule where the substances are out of you're system and your test will come back clean. Random testing doesn't allow this too much, because you can't truly use cycles. USADA would be involved and they would give 8-10 urine test and 5-6 blood test during the 10 week span, all being random. You can't use cycles on that because you have no idea when the test are coming.

I can attest to the lunacy of WADA, USADA testing and the inherent bias of the process. A prime example is Lance Armstrong, he is tested over 2-3 times more than any other cyclists, let alone another athlete. How does it happen that WADA and the UCI stalk Lance? This is because the French Anti Doping Agency has a hard-on to catch Lance and they will do whatever they want to catch him. He puts up with it because he has no choice if he wants to compete as a UCI cyclists.

Finally we agree on something. The key is that Manny does want to take the blood tests and its the scheduling that is in conflict, not the actual testing.

The second blood test would be relatively random. I simply said that it was would be in between the other two. The testing agency could perform the test anywhere from the press conference kickoff up until 4 or 5 days before the fight. That along with all the random urine tests should be sufficient. Let's be real here, this type of testing is above and beyond the rules. It's never been done before. Some comprimise will have to be in order. Team Pacquiao claims their only problem is that the USADA could test the day of the weigh in. Fair enough, get another testing agency that is willing to give the fighters a 4 or 5 day window before the fight in which they won't be blood tested.

Now if Mayweather agrees to the comprimise he should turn around and request the Pacquiao comprimise on the $10 million weight penalty. That is also above and beyond the rules and has never been done before in a non catchweight fight. Now I doubt Mayweather won't make weight, but both fighters need to show their willingness to comprimise.

That's all good. However, Pacquiao is claiming he won't get tested within 30 days of the fight. I have a problem with this. He had blood drawn and checked for diseases in late April which was within 30 days of his fight with Hatton. So this whole 30 day window excuse is garbage. Now their concern about being tested the day of the weigh in is undestandable. Roach claims he would do it with a 5 day window, and I see no problem with that.

Roach has just told sky sports they want a 7 DAY WINDOW NOW. That will turn into 14 days by tomorrow.

I've read Roach's viewpoint and he's ok with days before the fight. I've read Arnum and he says 30 days out and after. Which to believe? I tend to side with Roach since he's closer to Manny, and well as far as sharks go Arnum is a top shark. Its hard to believe anything he and the GBP chief say.

However, the key for me is the post fight test. Lotsa people who have no business talking about the blood and samples in the same sentence wax poetic about how great and amazing USADA methods are in one breadth then in the other say there's still all this stuff the test will miss if not done in such and such date.

The reality is that WADA, the World Anti-Doping Agency, the main organization that leads all of the doping agencies, catches most of it's cheaters during post event testing. He's agreed to the post fight, and if there's anything not legit about either fighter, USADA's post blood/urine tests will find it.

    BULL****,

ROACH HAS JUST CALLED SKY SPORTS AND SAID HE WONT ALLOW MANNY TO BE TESTED BEFORE 7 DAYS BEFORE THE FIGHT NOW.

What happened to a few days, now its 7.
