Visionquest was a horrible episode that Arum and top Rank would liked to see washed away. Visionquest comes in conducts an audit tells #48 he's being screwed out of money and owes taxes and Arum and Top Rank say they're lying and discredits them. I almost forgot about the whole Visionquest debacle.

Haymon cannot actually subpoena them for that, or bring suit for any of that even if there is something there because he has no standing to do so.

You cant shut down an antitrust lawsuit like this by saying "well TR did something wrong somewhere as well". It just doesnt work like that.

You are thinking there is a contract breech somewhere that TR could be sued over, and maybe there is but the scope is far different and Haymon has no standing.

If he did, he would have used that in his prying away of Chavez Jr.

The funniest thing about this debacle is the following:

1. Most of us dont even know what Haymon looks like.
2. Most us never heard the man speak one word.
3. Majority of us have never even read anything Haymon has said.
4. People now act like they even know what the Ali act is.

Most of you haters don't even know why your hating. I do t like to use a certain card that can be thrown out but it's the only logical thing I can think of as why. How would Haymon whose got boxing on free television( soon to be ESPN and AbC as well) be bad for the sport. You're all essentially saying boxing going back to the way it was even though you know for damn sure you were complaining about it is better off then now. GTFOH please. It's hilarious to watch. You'd rather see boxing limited to just Showtime and HBO with promoters doing to each other what Haymon is doing now.

Another thing, why the **** haven't we heard fighters come out about Haymon and the mis use of the Ali act you t-a-r-d-s? It seems this is only a promoter problem. none of these arguments are even on topic. al is most likely violating the ali act. a manager cannot issue checks. the promoter pays the fighter who pays the manager. when the manager pays the fighter, you violate the ali act. its that simple. why do promoters have this much "power"? its because they are regulated and have to disclose information with their practices.

its not about whehter you are black white or purple. its not about if you like haymon or not. its strict interpretation of the law. under these grounds, top rank and golden boy have some basis.

 

Floyd Mayweather is black. His manager/illegal promoter is black. Almost all of Pimp Cs favorite fighters are black. Pimp C is black. He doesn't have to read the suit to know who he's behind. He doesn't even care if Haymon is breaking laws or being immoral. It is totally immaterial whether or not Haymon is in the wrong or not. If Oscar's last name were Washington and he was black, Pimp C's opinion would do an instant 180. Not to point out the obvious, but someone had to get real here.

All promoters are as you say "most likely" violating the Ali act especially Bob Arum. This will go on for years and I doubt anything comes from it.
