I think he can I'm not so sure on will He's been inactive for a year, and had personal problems. By the same token Donaire is not Pacquaio, no matter how much HBO try to push him as the second coming, he has looked more vulnerable each time he has gone up in weight.
40-36 Ellis. Dominant round for Ellis with him attacking Straus upstairs and downstairs mostly with his left hook, as well as with combinations set up by his jab. Straus looked confused, no answer, although he did land a couple of good left hooks in the final 20 seconds when Ellis was on attack.
Yeh Donaire's weight is a weird one. He was by accounts dead at 118 in his last fight there but has looked a bit **** since moving up trying to impose his diminished power on everyone. I still back him though cos everytime he has been in a big fight where people think he might come unstuck (Vic and Montiel), he has stepped up big time.
Scores: 40-36 (x3) for Ellis. Ronald Ellis advances to 4(3)-0 with this being his first fight going the distance, while Katrell Straus drops to 2(1)-3.
