Top Rank win Golovkin v Mundine purse bid with $1,200,010 bid.

The fight will be in July and held in the states and for the MW WBA world title.

Interesting development that the Arum would be interested in promoting a Euro v aussie fight :huh

Maybe he wants to feed the winner to Pavlik

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ibutt

Arum will be feeding Pavlik to Golovkin.

The kid is a beast. He's a threat to KO all of 160 and 168, IMO.

Just a suggestion, ash: edit the thread title (if you're not sure how, just go into forum view and double-click your cursor just to the right of the title, it will let you edit) to say "Top Rank win Mundine-Golovkin purse bid". It will probably get more attention if people know what it's in reference to. :good

Yes I agree....I have seen quite a few of his fights now....as well of his AM fight with Bute....great KO :admin

Mundine is fast and has good evasion skills so it should be a good fight :good

Hmm. Brilliant movers with good enough chins to withstand glancing blows might be the safe ones...Martinez, N'Dam N'Jikam, etc. :think

ash did you see my suggestion above?

Thanks for the update. I've been waiting for this info.

HTF did Top Rank outbid a Mundine fight in Oz though? I thought this would be a huge title fight there for AM?

Most of the Australians hate Mundine, apparently Geale is a much more liked boxer of their middleweight contenders.

This is Mundine's chance to put himself back on the map. He's good enough to win this fight if he comes mentally prepared.

They did it in conjunction with an Aussie events agency.

Mundine will be KO'd. Golovkin is a beast, he is a superior fighter.

But they buy tickets don't they? Supposedly Pavlik was offered good money to go to Oz to fight Mundine. It is what it is, but I'm surprised.

Green V Mundine got 30,000 people through the gate and 120,000 PPV's

    Quite good for AUST

If PAV came here they would do the same numbers here plus OS PPV:good

Well, just looked up the population. I thought it would be much higher. Not bad for the population I guess.

22 Million to save others from looking.

    Yeah mate just small

At a guess 70% of the buyers for Mundine fights want to see him get KTFO :deal

Sad but true....maybe fighting in the states against Golovkin will help aussies get behind Mundine again.
