Well Cameron Duncan (Pavlik's manager) only has managerial interest in Paul Fleming from Australia, so i guess the mate of yours is probably involved with him.:hey
You tell me you understand boxing then you state that you question the rating of Anthony Mundine. He has been rated at number 1 for a while but until now you have not noticed it. Because I reply to what you say without agreeing I am taking digs. You dont know if Golovkin can beat Choc but you are hoping he does. I understand that. I am not being personal. I am just giving my opinion and explaining why Choc is rated number 1. Do you understand?
My question was pointing out the fact that this fight vs Golovkin is NOT for the legit WBA MW strap. As long as Sturm exists as the WBA's Super Champ at MW, any lesser title is exactly that - a lesser title, created to bring in more sanctioning fees for the WBA. My question was also pointing out that having only fought 3 MWs (if you could call Medley and Taylor MWs), Mundine is now in a position to fight for this lesser WBA MW title, which according to the likes of you and ash, is THE WBA MW title. You comment frequently on Green's CW title and question it's authenticity, and accuse him of fighting MWs in Siaca, yet you conveniently turn a blind eye to your boy benefitting from a greedy federation and fighting a career JWW/WW and WW in 2 of his 3 fights at MW to get to the position he is now in. :nono Not so: :deal :deal If you think the above 2 comments from you are simply you not agreeing with me, then you mustn't be paying much attention to what you're writing. I'm not stupid, don't pretend you are either :hey Now, last week your excuse for not answering my questions was that they weren't intelligent, yet today you deemed my question about Mundine's MW rating intelligent enough to answer. Perhaps, in all your objective wisdom, you could explain why you criticise others for using similar tactics to those used by your boy in attaining a world title? I have another question for you - do you agree that your boy can even be called '2-time world champion' when he has only ever won vacant WBA second-tier titles, created when the existing champion lost his title while trying to unify with another federation (see Mitchell vs Ottke and Kessler vs Calzaghe) and the winners of those unification fights were elevated to WBA Super Champ status? Eagerly awaiting a genuine, and not a facetious, sarcastic, and/or condescending reply from you :good
been waiting for choc to step up for a while now like all of us, i think this fight will realy bring out the best in choc ,you can only fight as good as your competition, this fight is huge motivation for choc. if this fight doesnt get him off the kfc and tim tams, nothing will. mundine by decision.
I have been told it is, green was looking further afield but no luck so will be fighting briggs. However as you know boxing is a funny game so could change. Thankfully the Golovkin fight came to the pourse bid so at least that prediction is closer to comming off
I hope Briggsy can make good shape, I'd hate to see him just turn up for a payday. He and Green are both favourites of mine, so I wouldn't want to see an out-of-shape Briggs turn up and get smashed just for the money. Fingers crossed he means business and gets a good training camp in :good
Yes I do agree by winning those titles he can call himself a 2 time world champion. I understand where you are coming from and honestly you have a good case but he has won World Titles that have been sanctioned by the WBA. Whether we agree or not it is a WBA World Title. It is boxing today and although I dont agree you and me cant change things. Can Michael Katsidis ever claim to be a world champion? What do you think?
Mundine stepping up finally.better late than never.Cedrich please tell me you're joking about the Green-Briggs fight.
Thank you for your objective reply Jeff, I appreciate it. I agree with your raising of Katsidis as an example of another boxer who's world champion status can be questioned - personally, I don't believe he has achieved that mantle yet, however, I most certainly appreciate the hard work, determination and effort he has put into achieving what he has thus far and I'm sure he will end up a genuine world champion soon.
Yes IBM I agree with Michael one day being a full world champion but up till now has been an interim champion. Mainly because thats all that has been offered. I am not saying Michael is sidestepping anyone but how long does he have to hold and defend this title before the WBO give him a chance at there full title. Like I stated earlier that is boxing today so if there is a world title available I wouldnt begrudge anyone fighting for it.
Jet..... Let me explain. Organisations always look after their regional champions. Choc won the WBA International title so that and being a former super middle champion would of got him to number 1. Thats how boxing is run. Its all about sanction fees. The WBO ratings will explain it better.
