hey balmain you reackon mundine will beat this bloke or what?
golovkin looks good in the clips but i dont think he has fought any one as quick and illusive as choc in the pros.

    choc by split decision.:D

Im picking Choc...Im getting behind him for this one.

Gennady looks the **** but he isnt as seasoned at the pro game as Choc is...He has that amateur pedigree but going 12 hard rounds is a different ball game.
He may be slow enough of foot for Choc to overcome his technical skills with his speed and athleticism...its going to be a good test for both guys either way.

cant remember how long but JMM has a long time 12-18 months to face the interim champ.he was going to fight Hatton at 140 but Ricky is done i think.

This is a good matchup and credit to Mundine for finally fighting a very good opponent BUT what odds that the fight actually happens ?
With the fight being at 160, in USA and Mundine 35 yrs old i will be picking Golovkin to win. Hope the fight really happens.

Is this fight actually going to happen? I know the purse bid has been won but does that mean that choc has accepted the fight?

    I guarantee he won't.

I agree. I think some people here are jumping ahead of themselves presuming that Mundine will fight Golovkin in USA. Anthony has been fighting stiffs for the last 3 yrs or so. Are we to believe that all of a sudden at 35 he decides to test himself. I hope the fight happens but i'm definately sceptical.

I would love to be proved wrong but am thinking along the same line as you. I think it would be a great fight for choc and one he could win if he boxed well but i just can't see it happening when he has been stuffing around for the last few years.

Erm, Golovkin can bang a bit can't he? Obviously not a puncher to the extent of Craaaaaaaaaazy Kim or Sven Ottke or anything, but surely an aging, clearly weak at the weight Mundine could well be in trouble here?

When do we get to find out if he's actually signed on the dotted line?

    Fair point actually.

To tell you the truth I expected Mundine to win the purse bid...coming up with $1.5 million to finance the fight surely wouldnt be that hard for him and Khoder, when they have dealed with much bigger figures in the past.

I do find it slightly odd that he would travel all the way to America to fight an Arum fighter on a Arum card for $600K..and a fighter with a fairly low profile aswell...maybe he is genuinely trying to set up a fight with Pavlik or Martinez, and he feels this is the best way to do it.

But maybe there is more to it...maybe they just didnt expect Arum to put that amount of cash up and ended up losing out...If thats the case then we will just have to wait and see what news come out from Team Mundine.

Here's the perfect opportunity for mandy to shut our mouths, those who constantly bag him for not stepping up. If mandy signs on the dotted line to go over & fight this fella in the states, I will support him & hope he succeeds. If he doesn't then he should just **** off & retire. This is his chance he's been waiting for. Just like Floyd shut many mouths with his performace against Mosley, this is mandys turn to do the same albeit not as big a fight but you know what I mean.

I think this is the most important point.
