Choc will want to get some HIGH quality sparring for this fight seeing as he hasn't had a world class opponent for more than 3 years. This is a worry coming up to this fight. Good luck to him.
I wonder how many Green fans will be cheering choc on in this fight compared to those that want to see him win. would a WT at this weight place in jeopardy a Green Choc re match would a win make it more likely. I for one hope choc wins and then trys to unify the divison and become the WBA super super duper gold plated champ or whatever they make up. When there is a WBA champ then they win the IBF title do they become a super champ if they then have another WBA champ and they win the WBC title do they have 2 super chapms
...and another vote for your post Roscoe. (wonder how serious Ash was in endorsing it as well - where does it leave Ash if Mundine doesn't take the fight?)
I don't think the WBA would allow their super champ to fight their regular champ, and considering the super champ is only super because he holds the unified titles, the regular champ would never get a shot at other feds titles. If you know what I mean :yep
if you have the WBA and 1 other title aren't you a super champ so WBA and IBF super champ WBA and WBC super champ not sure if that is 100% right but i thought you only had to have the WBA plus 1 other to be super
You can defend the strap like 10 times I think it is and then they elevate you to super champ aswell. Chris John got his super champ status that way.
Also..havent checked the rule in a while but from my understanding the Super has to fight the regular after a year or 18 months.
Wow, imagine if Green followed chocs example and fought a young, undefeated, olympic medallist. Haha yeah right. I think Mundine will lose this fight but this instantly makes his career far superior to Greens.
any comments yet from Mundine team whether he is going to take the fight? :think i assume he can get that $600.000 for fighting any shepherd in Australia as well..
