Golovkins promoter has said that mundine has 48 hours to sign the contract and even though they won the purse bid he said they are still willing to take the fight to oz in late july. Basically mundine has no excuses, gonna look really bad if he dont go through with this.
48 hours to sign the contract.....:rofl what BS is that Between managers lawyers and fighters it can take weeks....LOOKS LIKE GOLOVKINS RUNNING ALREADY Khoder in OS and choc is here....48 hours is not going to happen :-(
They are looking good the St Chokers...Building their fans up for disappointment again. As for us...well, they are just getting all the disappointment out of the way..About 45 years worth should do it, we almost there..then its all trophies and premiership rings.

Pic: Glenn Barnes Source: The Courier-Mail CONTOVERSIAL boxer Anthony Mundine will make his first ring appearance in Brisbane when he fights Daniel Geale on May 27. Former world champion Mundine (35-3) will tackle former Olympian Geale (21-0) for the IBO world middleweight title at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre at Boondall on May 27. Mundine, who lost his WBA world super-middleweight crown to Mikkel Kessler in 2005, recently committed to campaign as a middleweight. His most recent outing was an easy points decision over Shannan Taylor in February. Mundine spent a year in Brisbane in 1997 when he played rugby league for the Brisbane Broncos. The outspoken Mundine said he would concentrate on the likes of world champions Felix Sturm (WBA), Kelly Pavlik (WBC, WBO) and Arthur Abraham (IBF) after "disposing" of former Olympian Geale. "It's going to an historic night - it's going to be my third world title and this might be my last fight in Australia," Mundine said of the upcoming bout. "Because after this there is nothing but big fish to fry. "I am willing to travel overseas, take a pay cut, just to show the people what I can do, who I am." Mundine said his management were already on the verge of securing a "big, major fight". "After I win this title, which I will, all I want is champions," he said. "I don't want to mess around with contenders, I just want champions. "Whether it's Pavlik, whether it's Abraham, whether it's Sturm - give me one of them." time to put up or shut up.he owes it to people like Ashley. i am willing to go overseas take a pay cut to show people what i can do.hes guaranteed $600k,Aussie PPV hes already rich.if he weasels out of this fight hes a ****.
Same old, well worn promises! With Golovkin's mob obviously happy to travel here and a title belt up for grabs, let's hope team Mundine grab the opportunity with both hands. Hard to see how any credibility whatsoever can be maintained if they don't!
