1. Going up in weight will slow down Pac. Its his biggest asset which puts him at an advantage at 130 right now. even then i think Juan is faster. 2. Going up in weiight will diminish his power. His power is still not the greatest i dont think at 130. He is one of the hardest hitters at that weight but i think his knockouts come from the combination of speed and power also the fact he isnt really fighting the young relentless fighters. 3. Pacs stamina and work rate is probably dropping too going up to 135. I dont think this really matters since Juans is greater even than Pacs at 130. 4. Pacs chin is suspect. Juans is solid. I looked at the freitas fight and he took plenty of flush shots from a one punch KO artist. never once seemed bothered. Pac has been Kod before and been shooken up before by lesser opponents too. 5. Pacs only chance would be to knock juan out early which would mean to exchange with Juan and by looking at the MAB fight last time around Marco got the better of the exchanges most of the time. What makes you think Juan wont. who is faster and stronger than MAB. After analysing this my prediction is Juan Diaz wins by TKO or possibly KO by round 9. That is if PAC doesnt take on the inexperienced Valero or David Diaz to avoid the ASSWHOOPING he will get by Juan.
Marco Barrera stunned him but because he hits like a mule, I think Pacquiao has a good chin he took the best of morales and jmm and never went down, altough I still think Diaz beats him
First 2 points make sense but if given time to get adjusted at 135 before fighting Diaz Pacquiao can overcome it. The last 3 points is just ******ed and your pulling out of your ass to give as much advantage to Baby Bull as possible.
Actually, I think you'll see the same speed from Pac given that in his latest fight with Barrera @ 130, he ballooned up to 144, whereas Baby Bull was fighting at 135 and only rehydrated up to 142. All other points are fair.
1. From most accounts I’ve read, JD came in at 142 lbs against Julio. Pac weighed 144 lbs. in the MAB rematch and there was talk he had problems making 130 this time around. If Pac fights JD at lightweight, he won’t be weighing in 150 or more on fight night. Most probably, he’ll be as heavy as he was in his last fight. Only now, he wouldn’t have to drain himself as much. I don’t know about you but 144 pound Pac seems mighty fast to me even for anyone at 130 (except probably for Guzman). 2. Since JD will be facing the same 144 lbs Pac that Morales and MAB lost to, the question really is not if he’ll lose power, but rather if his power NOW would be enough to put a dent on JD. Not necessarily to knock him out, but maybe enough to make him less assertive or less effective? Pac’s already proven he doesn’t have to KO guys every time to score a W. 3. Again, since it’s highly doubtful Pac’s gonna be heavier than he’s fighting now (about as heavy as JD) come their bout, I don’t see how his stamina and workrate would diminish. If anything, he probably gains more in reserve because he doesn’t have to drain himself as much. 4. Pac’s never been KO’ed by a headshot. His 1st KO loss came from a low blow. His second KO loss was from a body shot after being drained to make 112 pounds and losing his title at the scales. Under the watchful eyes of Roach and Fortune, his resistance to body attacks have vastly improved. He’s now built like a rock. Furthermore, his chin has been tested by MAB, JMM and EM, and they were the ones who kissed canvas multiple times, not him. 5. Pac won’t be a sitting duck in front of JD, trying to outmuscle him and matching him punch for punch like Suico and Julio did. His boxing is more complex than that. He’s quick and is going to utilize in-and-out as well as lateral movement, head and upper body motion, stiff jabs and speedy combinations in spurts and won’t be staying in a phonebook fight a la what JD’s latest victims tried to do but failed miserably. And he’s also gonna have the stamina to sustain that kind of tact. Finally, we also have to consider that Pac’s in a different level (p4p #1 or #2 depending on who you’re talking to) than any fighter Diaz has ever vanquished. He’s proven his level too many times to be written off just like that. I’m not saying that Pac wins this one outright. It’s going to be tough, but I don’t think he’s going to be another hapless victim that JD piles up with damage. This fight won’t be easy for either of them.
Didn't Pac start out at Flyweight? I mean come on Juan Diaz is a big Lightweight, a natural Lightweight....He's too big and strong for Pac.
Diaz is a Big target for Pac. He's feather fisted, He's winning by accumulation, by speed & Pressure. Pac's Faster & Hit's harder.
I take it most of the people on here are Pac lovers. I dont see how Pac would ever beat Juan. like Juan said Pac beat an old legendary fighter in Barrera. its time for Pac to fight a young champion. Pac just fights the old champs to get more money and recognition. He knows the risk of fighting young champions that will knock his ass out. tell me why you think Pac would beat Juan...
Oh yea and for the people that say Pac wont be standing in front of Juan as he rushes his opponents. I dont think any of his opponents tried to stand in front of him. its called backing up your opponent. Juan comes at you nonstop throwing all sorts of combinations at you. its like he is attached to your chest. Pac can move to the side and so will Juan as if he is glued to him. this people dont choose to stand there in front of him. he does that himself and we all know how Pac fights going back.
He is by no means feather fisted. He isn't a hard puncher, but there is alot between feather fisted and hard puncher. And I don't believe Pacquiao is any faster than Diaz, nor does he put as many punches together as fast as Diaz.
There are alot of people not giving pac a chance. Pac always has a chance as juans best punch is his jab and Pac is fast enough to counter it with his lead left. Pac is not out of this one as Pac hits fast, sharp and hard and is pretty much faster then anyone juan has fought. Juan has fast hands but not fast legs. Pac is fast period. Juan would not get off combos on pac like the ******ed diaz he fought. I thought about it, if Pac had a tune up before him to get used to fighting at 135 I would favor pac to pot shot juan and eventually hurt him. That is a good fight, I am sure I will flip flop as time goes by.
